Our students gained confidence by participating in multi-tiered trilingual activities and competitions such as workshops, recordings, writing, public speaking, and language quizzes.

Jayson Yu (4A) received a Distinction for his story on kindness, which was featured in SCMP Posties.

Zoe Lam (4B) achieved First Prize for two consecutive years!

  1. Time to Talk English Speaking Competition

Ollie Tsang (5A), Pallas To (5A), Daphne Lee (5A), and Marcus Kwan (5B) won Second Prize in the prestigious EDB competition.

English Choral Speaking

Through collaborative effort and perseverance, the YLM Team won First Runner-Up in the competition.

  1. Sharing of English Culture in Reading, Storytelling and Student Leadership in the EDB

YLM teachers and students were invited to share their insights on nurturing engaging learning cultures with guests at the EDB event.

  1. Gifted Reading Programme

P.2 students enjoy tailor-made Saturday reading activities with Victoria Shanghai Academy volunteers, while P.3–4 students join the YLM Little Authors workshops. Additionally, P.4–5 EAT members engage in deep literary discussions during Meeting the Author sessions.

  1. Book Exhibitions

Our themed book fairs captivated students with targeted interactive themes. Term 1 featured the Starry Book Fair, followed by Term 2's exciting Amazing Animals & Insects exhibition.

  1. Mother’s Day Activities

Students discovered the love languages, read festive stories online, dedicated songs during lunchtime, and crafted creative, loving cards to express gratitude to their wonderful mothers.

  1. Reading Buddies

Our Reading Buddies Programme brings senior students into junior classrooms during lunch breaks to share English stories so that they learn English in a supportive, relaxed atmosphere.
